Verizon screwed me out of a bunch of money. I will work hard to never give them any money ever again.
The full story is very mundane, but the gist of it is that if you want to transfer your DSL service between housemates, you have to order new service for one person and cancel the old service for the other person. If you don’t cancel the old service, they’ll just bill both. I wonder what the upper limit is on concurrent billing for the same service. Do you think you can have ten different housemates call with the same address with an existing DSL line and just rack up 10 * $43.99/mo for the one existing unreliable 3mbps line?
And then when you ask for your money back, they’ll say “Sorry, no.” And then after some arguing, they’ll concede and pay you back half the money.
